First Private Members Bill in Canada to address environmental racism passes first reading

Lenore Zann (MLA for Truro – Milbrrook – Salmon River) introduced the first Private Members Bill in Canada to address environmental racism.

The first reading for the “Act to Address Environmental Racism” (Bill 111) was passed on April 29, 2015. The second reading of the Bill will occur later in the year. A copy of the Bill is available here.
